Scheherazade is State Street Ballet’s newly re-imagined story, based on the legendary, ancient tale of the savior queen. Set to the exquisite music of Rimsky-Korsakov’s original orchestration, this world premiere production is a dynamic and innovative adaptation of a timeless classic. A journey through the sands of the Arabian deserts, Scheherazade is a mythical tale of love and emotional adventure that will speak to the hearts of all audiences. This evening-length program also features Tango Rain choreographed by visionary resident choreographer William Soleau. Tango Rain is a sizzling, tour-de-force ballet set to the iconic music of Astor Piazzolla.
