Featured speakers are: Jorge Castañeda, former Foreign Minister of Mexico; Megan McArdle, a popular columnist with the Washington Post and author of The Up Side of Down: Why Failing Well Is the Key to Success; Amity Shlaes, political commentator and author of four New York Times bestsellers including The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression; and Roberto Rodriguez Hernandez, Consul of Mexico for the Tri-County Region. The Santa Barbara County economic forecast will be delivered by Peter Rupert, Executive Director of the UCSB Economic Forecast Project. Presentations will be followed by a panel moderated by Megan McArdle titled Trade: Can’t Live with It, Can’t Live Without It.
