In this modern comedy classic, grumpy television weatherman (Bill Murray) reluctantly goes to cover the feel-good story of a small town Groundhog Day celebration. Making no effort to hide his frustration about the assignment, he covers the story and moves on, expecting his job to be finished. However, he awakes the following day only to discover that, inexplicably, it's Groundhog Day again. First, he believes it's just his mind playing tricks on him, but when it happens again the next day, and then again the day after—the weatherman tries what he can to free himself from this loop of what could be heaven or could be hell, all while trying to secure the love of a charming coworker (Andie MacDowell).
