Kids Helping Kids Presents
A Benefit Concert

Kids Helping Kids is thrilled to be bringing back JOHNNYSWIM as one of this year’s headliners for their annual benefit gala. Previously an opener for KHK, JOHNNYSWIM became a fan favorite when they won over the crowd with the hits like "Home" and "Diamonds". Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano Ramirez makeup JOHNNYSWIM. The pair met in Nashville in 2005, instituting a songwriting partnership not long afterward. They clicked together musically and personally, beginning a romantic relationship along with their creative connection. JOHNNYSWIM can be easily recognized by their popular songs “Diamonds”, “Take the World”, and “Home”. You won't want to miss this intimate night with JOHNNYSWIM!

KHK is incredibly excited to welcome back to the stage its first-ever performing artist, Tyrone Wells. Singer-songwriter Wells is sure to capture the hearts of any guest in attendance. He loves to create music. He loves to perform. He feels certain that he will make music until his dying day, as it is not only gratifying for him to create but also therapeutic and necessary. With over 60 million Spotify streams and music placed in television shows like, “American Idol”, “Grey’s Anatomy” and “One Tree Hill”, Tyrone Wells is sure to give guests an experience they won't forget.

About Kids Helping Kids
Kids Helping Kids is an entirely student run 501 ©(3) non-profit organization based out of the AP Economics classes at San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, California. Since inception in 2002, the organization has grossed over one and a half million dollars for disadvantaged youth, both locally and globally. This will be the seventh straight year Kids Helping Kids has hosted its annual benefit concert at the Granada Theater. In the past, Kids Helping Kids has booked artists: Andy Grammer, Switchfoot, Sara Bareilles, Matt Kearney, Tyrone Wells, Five for Fighting and Toad the Wet Sprocket. The gala also features a performance by the winner of Royals Got Talent, an annual talent show put on by Kids Helping Kids at San Marcos High School.

Kids Helping Kids donates all proceeds raised directly to disadvantaged children. Past allocations include, but are not limited to, subsidizing exam fees for economically-challenged students, visual aid equipment in our local schools, and support of the performing arts in the Santa Barbara County. KHK also supports international efforts including the work of Love, Light, and Melody in Nicaragua. Kids Helping Kids’ annual concert gala is an all inclusive event that brings the community together to accomplish the ultimate goal of making a tangible difference in the lives of others. John Ondrasik, lead singer of Five for Fighting, called it “a blast to play and an inspiration for all.”
